I want to inform everyone that within the last month a spree of robberies have been occurring at Bus Stops along the 14th and 16th Street corridors.
We have experienced 3 in PSA 402 alone but 9 total within the 4th District.
Some safety tips while waiting for the bus:
Be vigilant (do not let anyone get to close even if they look "normal")
Try not to carry large amounts of cash or other valuables on you.
If possible wait at a bus stop with a crowd of people.
Carry some type of noise device (whistle)
Keep your house keys in a separate place.
If you are a victim of this crime or any crime CALL 911 immediately, wait for the police to arrive, and give a good description of the suspect and also the direction of escape.
